Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Soundtracks Available for Pre-order on CD and Vinyl
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was developed by Sandfall Interactive and published by Kepler Interactive on April 25th, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. The small French development team sought to develop a turn-based RPH inspired by JRPG classics, but for the modern era. The game released to critical acclaim and surprise commercial success. It will no doubt be in the discussion for best game of this year.
Expedition 33 was composed by Lorient Testard as his first commercial soundtrack. The game’s director, Guillame Broche, reached out to Testard in 2020 after finding tracks Testard had uploaded to SoundCloud. Bringing brought onto the team so extremely early in the project’s development, Testard crafted the soundtrack over the next five years as the game was developed. Expedition 33 is a game in which the soundtrack is an integral part of the experience. Physical editions of Expedition 33’s soundtrack have been announced for a February 6th, 2026 release, and the game tracks have been remastered for these releases. These releases include an 8-CD boxset, a 6-disc vinyl set, and a 2-disc vinyl set. The vinyl sets were sequenced by Testard, whereas the CD set is the complete soundtrack with 25 bonus tracks.
